Role: Health & Safety Advisor


Salary: £35K Pro Rata


Location: Reading


Duration: 3 months FTC



Summary


As the Health & Safety Advisor you would report to the Account Director Lead and Head of Health & Safety. You will assist the Adecco Health & Safety team as far as reasonably possible to ensure as a minimum, the work environment remains compliant at all times to the legal and regulatory health & safety requirements.


You will also undertake policy and documentation reviews, audits, risks assessments, safety training and report writing.




Duties include but not limited to:



  • Carry out accident/incident investigations

  • Immediate response to emergency situations

  • Reporting accidents, incidents to the Health & Safety Executive or the Health & Safety Authority if required

  • Provide support and assistance to the business



You will be expected to:



  • Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate

  • Occasionally work outside of standard hours

  • Deliver reports and training to agreed timescales

  • Represent the business at client safety meetings.

  • Able to provide a proactive approach to Health & Safety legislation

  • Able to plan and organise workloads to meet with inspections

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Team Player

  • IT skills



We require you to have experience of:



  • Working in a distribution / warehouse environment

  • Current UK and Ireland Health & Safety legislation

  • Health & Safety Management systems

  • Undertaking risk assessments and reviews

  • Writing policies and safe work procedures

  • Knowledgeable of health & safety requirements within Industrial, Manufacturing and Distribution Industries is desirable.
