Overview:


Ensuring that all safety legislation is adhered to as well as adopting Group and Site policies and practices. Assist and lead in planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing the protective and preventative measures that are required. Work to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries.


Principal Responsibilities:



  • To coordinate the management of Health and Safety including measurement and communication of safety performance.

  • To advise all employees and managers in order to assist them to comply with their safety responsibilities, including risk assessments, the design and use of equipment, the implementation of safe systems of work and the provision and use of appropriate protective equipment.

  • To ensure that Company safety practices, certification and record systems are maintained in line with changing legislation, and to liaise with official bodies such as inspectors and employer liability insurers.

  • To advise all employees and managers in order to assist them to comply with legal requirements and good practices in respect of the environment.

  • In conjunction with the Group's insurers, brokers and solicitors continue to manage and improve the existing and future liability exposure of our businesses and minimise the associated costs.

  • Ensure all incidents and accidents are investigated and documented including RIDDOR reportable, and provide management information on trends, frequencies, root causes and costs. Ensure preventive measures are implemented where possible.

  • Undertake regular hazard identifying audits using defined criteria site wide and use this information to manage hazards appropriately.


We are looking for a candidate who has recent experience & recognised qualifications & must have demonstrable computer skills.
