Investigator - Law Enforcement


Our client; a Law Enforcement organisation based in Central London are currently recruiting for a Investigator to work within one of the Operational Divisions, Investigators will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating cases of serious and complex fraud or bribery and corruption: helping to bring cases to timely and successful conclusions.



  • Location: Embankment Area (Hybrid-working)

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 36hrs

  • Pay: £17.68 per hour

  • Start: ASAP pending a security clearance which can take up to 4 weeks

  • Duration: 6-9 months initially with possible extensions


Responsibilities



  • Taking an active role in an investigation, including developing lines of enquiry and gathering evidence.

  • Assisting your case team in exercising our client powers under Section 2 CJA 1987.

  • Assisting multiple investigations contemporaneously which are running at different speeds and in a dynamic environment in accordance with legislation and investigation standards.

  • Participate in searches of business and residential premises working in conjunction with the police and/ or wider law enforcement community.

  • Reviewing large quantities of material to identify relevant information and progress lines of enquiry.


Experience/Skills Required



  • Experience within a relevant industry sector such as law, accountancy, finance or law enforcement.

  • Someone who can work on investigative tasks around witnesses and obtaining evidence in statements.

  • Understanding of legislations, CPR and CPIA.

  • Holds experience of using review platforms and/or computers to an advanced level.

  • Experience in witness and/or victim statement in criminal investigations either economic crime or major or former CID.
