Salary/Rate: £23,600 per annum (potential increase after probation)


Type: Permanent, 6am- 3pm, 40 hours per week



Job Description


Our client is currently recruiting for an early shift, Housekeeping supervisor to join their team! This will be a fixed shift between the hours of 6am-3pm, Monday - Friday, for a prestigious gym based in Canary Wharf. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you are not only responsible to carry out the jobs and tasks at hand in a timely manner, but also to be the face of company; this includes managing and training the department, developing client interactions, assisting with client questions and much more.



Duties will include but are not limited to:



  • Lead the Club Housekeeping team, providing coaching and feedback as required

  • Ensure that clients receive an efficient, friendly, consistent and personalised service and all areas of the Club are at the highest levels of cleanliness

  • Be aware of areas that become dirty and require extra attention and work with colleagues to ensure these are cleaned quickly

  • Ensure the changing room & toilet areas are checked regularly as per cleaning schedule, paying attention to restocking e.g. soaps & toilet rolls and shower areas e.g. floors, tiles and cubicle doors

  • Use chemicals safely and effectively as trained, using the correct chemicals for each job as per the cleaning schedule

  • Use all cleaning equipment and machinery effectively as trained, using the correct equipment for each job as per the cleaning schedule

  • Attend update training as required

  • Regular as per cleaning schedule and complete tasks as found using own initiative to prioritise the more urgent jobs that affect the members most

  • Undertake such other duties as the Operations Manager may from time to time reasonably require

  • Manage customer feedback effectively; ensure any issues or compliments are passed to the Operations Manager and dealt with appropriately to enable long-term improvements in products and services

  • Maintain standards of cleanliness, personal appearance and hygiene in line with both Company and legal requirements

  • Ensure any changing room equipment faults, failure or maintenance issues are identified and reported to the Operations Manager, as soon as discovered

  • Ensure you follow all health and safety regulations as trained, comply with legal & club requirements and that rules are observed by yourself, team members, members and guests to well-being when using the club

  • Attend regular cleaning update training to cover products, chemicals, equipment and health and safety issues

  • Complete Club induction training and Club product knowledge training and keep up to date with products and activities within the Club.
