An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Customer Technical Support Officer to join one of Adecco's most improved local authority clients in a temporary role until the end of 2022.

Working from our client's office in Maidenhead for 3 days a week, this is a full time role for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Under the general direction of the Senior Technical Support Officer the post holder will provide full customer and technical support to Housing & Enforcement services which includes the Environmental Health (Residential Services and Commercial Services) and the Trading Standards team. Other elements of the role include:

* Working as part of a professional team responsible for dealing with enquiries from the Customer Services Centre, members of the public, elected members and other staff within the Council regarding all aspects of enforcement services.
* Processing complex back-office statutory processes, including disabled facility grants and other similar functions.
* Undertaking budgetary support, including the raising of purchase orders and processing of invoices and other payments.
* Taking responsibility for ensuring that service requests are recorded appropriately and passed to the appropriate service lead for escalation if appropriate.
* Being responsible for undertaking initial contacts with customers and investigation actions for complaints and case investigations as directed and advised by the appropriate service manager.
* Responsible for sign-posting customers to appropriate services both within the Authority and externally.

Our client is looking for a candidate with experience of working in a busy, front line, and customer focused team. Good IT skills as well as strong communication skills (both verbal and written) is important too. You will need to be able to work independently, follow procedures and be able to speak to customers (sponsors and guests)
