JOB TITLE: Housing Development Project Manager


HOURS: Monday- Friday, 9am- 5pm (Flexible)

DURATION: 3 Months (Possibility of being extended)

PAY RATE: £300- £500 Daily Rate (Umbrella)



  • Identify, assess & prioritise new social / affordable housing opportunities that meet the client's strategic and housing ambitions. Progress opportunities to the project initiation stage.

  • Ensuring that programmes and projects are feasible, deliverable, affordable and to the right quality, mix and standards (including financial options appraisals) Responsibility for individual business cases and project approvals.

  • Ensuring that programmes and projects are delivered to the agreed specification and budget, with variations accounted for with appropriate approvals in place.

  • Ensuring that the 'lived-in' experience and operational and financial reality of new homes and communities is:

    • Safe with Construction Design and Management (CDM) principles embedded

    • Consistent with the programme and project aims

    • Affordable for residents and the client

    • Accords with client and strategic aspirations

  • Lead on the identification and management of risks affecting the Client so that:

    • Business risks being recognised, planned for and avoided, managed or escalated as appropriate

    • Systems and governance being in place to ensure this happens as a matter of course

    • The ability to respond promptly and effectively to critical events including business continuity plans being up to date and fit for purpose.


  • Be able to demonstrate that they have a successful track record of achievement.

  • Have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Housing Development

  • Housing Regeneration

  • Property acquisitions and long-term leasing

Please note that this role will be working from home with the occasional site/ office visit when required.
