Adecco are currently recruiting for a Housing Development Project Officer for a West London local authority.

  • Temp role - 3 months (possible extension)

  • £20.11 per hour PAYE / £26.03 per hour Umbrella


The company's objectives are to provide new homes in the borough for sale, equity share, discount market and private rent and the identification of other major development and regeneration opportunities within Ealing that can generate more new affordable homes and related benefits for residents in the borough. It also aims to be able to provide good quality management and services for residents; benchmarking such activity for the private sector.


The Project Officer role is required to support all aspects of business development and project management matters for this, as well as supporting the Project Director on various strategic tasks.


This role will include work in three main areas:


Property/ Scheme management



  1. Liaising with the Lettings manager and authorising repairs/ new tenants, managing any complaints or concerns raised by tenants

  2. Management of property lettings and management contract, ensuring that KPI's are met

  3. Carrying out monthly Estate inspections with the Lettings manager and report back to the board any concerns

  4. Liaising with the scheme project team with regards to new schemes and ensuring a copy of all documentation is filed


Finance



  1. Following the payment procedure in accordance with our Finance Regulations

  2. Checking invoices and ensuring that the works has been carried out and the sum invoiced has been agreed

  3. Responsibility for obtaining the relevant authorisation to process invoices

  4. Using our payment system Business World to authorise payments

  5. Manage the Help to Buy funding


Admin



  1. Managing the main company inbox/ telephone number and referring enquires to different project teams/ departments

  2. Handling complaints in accordance with our policy

  3. Management of Company Secretary contract, ensuring that board minutes, actions logs, and any company filings are carried out by them

  4. Scheduling/managing board meeting administration (including drafting reports) using Board Effect to create board books

  5. Drafting board reports including Landlord Services and Forward Plan

  6. Ensuring that a record of all payments and authorisation is saved and building insurance is renewed and updated with any developments /new schemes


The key deliverables will be:



  1. Ensure the Company Secretary & Housing Management contracts are achieving their outputs and providing client input and advice as required

  2. Ensure the monthly Board meetings are organised and papers are drafted and sent out on time (requiring collaboration and management of other department/external consultants)

  3. Ensure that company policies are up to date and relevant
