£15.69 (PAYE) HOURLY RATE


MONDAY - FRIDAY 9am - 5pm


5 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)

HOUSING MANAGEMENT OFFICER'S RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Ensure all accommodation meets the standards required through legislation and LBB policy by liaising with clients and landlords.

  • Giving advice about housing options, maintaining accommodation and ensuring that where possible tenancies are sustained.

  • Manage eviction referrals, liaising with partner organisations to ensure appropriate action is taken.

  • Be responsible for monitoring and managing rent accountants for a small portfolio of temporary accommodation placements.

  • Ensure that rent arrears and anti - social behaviour are tackled quickly and in line with local policy and procedure.

  • Provide landlords and letting agents with information on their rights and responsibilities in order to ensure legal compliance under the relevant Housing Acts.

  • Liaison with contractors regarding traveller site repairs and maintenance.

  • Take appropriate action in order to prevent the harassment or illegal eviction of tenants.

  • Draft reports, letters and statistical presentations on schemes, cases or information on a regular basis as required.

  • Deal promptly with all enquiries by telephone, correspondence or in person from landlords, MPs, councillors, solicitors, other agencies or members of the public.


A HOUSING MANAGEMENT OFFICER NEEDS TO:



  • Be able to provide an excellent customer focused service to landlords, agents and customers.

  • Have experience within a housing environment.

  • Have experience report writing, maintaining records and producing statistics.

  • Have an excellent standard of spoken and written English.

  • Be able to carry out home, site and office visits.

  • Clean driving license required.
