A fantastic opportunity has emerged to join one of our housing clients in Solihull as a Housing Options advisor:

The post holder will be working from the office/home and is expected to be part of a customer-focused Housing Options service providing a wide range of advice to customers and support to Housing Options Officers and Team Leaders. You will undertake a range of administration duties across the service.


This is a full-time post (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and the successful candidate will be expected to have knowledge of/experience in:




  • Use SCH computer systems, such as Jigsaw and Abritas, to input and manage information and produce reports as required.

  • Manage internal email and telephone enquiries.

  • Develop and maintain effective filing systems, including scanning documentation.
    * Use Microsoft Office to draft letters and emails, and design and update spreadsheets.

  • Process invoices and manage incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Assist Housing Options Officers and Team Leaders with administrative tasks such as updating data, scanning, and photocopying.

  • Work with the Housing Options Team to ensure efficient management of the Housing Register specifically in relation to Homeless Applications and medical priority.

  • Provide administrative support to Private Sector Development including carrying out property searches and contacting Letting Agents and Private Landlords.

  • Provide support and cover to other team members as required.

  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required, and which are considered appropriate to the grade of the post.
