Our leading research centre based on the outskirts of Ipswich, are looking for a fantastic HR Administrator to join their small team!

We are looking for a resilient and forward thinking, experienced HR Administrator to support all HR activities for the site and maintain records and reports to a high standard. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of GDPR and ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.


  • Keeping records are up to date

  • Raising POs for all new contractors

  • Carrying out general HR activities including onboarding and recruitment in relation to the procedures and practices laid out

  • Supporting with the recruiting process (liaising with agencies, scheduling interviews and ensuring records are up to date)

  • Manage the contractor performance management and extension process is run effectively

  • Provide accurate data to payroll in a timely manner to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time

  • General management of the HR Inbox (including filing, compliance with GDPR and tracking CV's)

  • Ensure all records are up to date and accurate so they can be used for reports and analysis within the business

  • Timesheet approving and overtime processing



  • Strong administration skills

  • High levels of organisation and brilliant attention to detail

  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel (Vlookups and pivot tables)

  • Fantastic team player who is also able to work independently

  • Strong communication skills

Desirable but not essential

  • Previous experience within a similar HR role

  • Understanding of GDPR

  • Experience with performance reviews and notetaking

  • Bilingual Mandarin Chinese/English - fluent to a verbal and written standard

The offer

  • £22,000-£24,000 per year

  • Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
