Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, a HR Admin/Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make the move from administration or recruitment into HR.

This is a permanent role of HR Administrator with the support and development into the role of HR Assistant. Equally, should you have experience in HR including managing a recruitment and selection processes, writing contracts of employment and contractual letters, providing first line HR advice, maintaining HR systems, are Level 3 CIPD certified and able to evidence your skills, then we are happy to consider you for the role of HR Assistant right away.

Starting Salary for the HR Administrator: £18,353 - £20,000 per annum (full time equivalent) dependant on experience and qualifications - Pro rata annual salary is £10,056 - £10,958 when working 20 hours per week

Starting Salary for the HR Assistant: £20,850 - £23,363 per annum (full time equivalent) dependant on experience and qualifications - Pro rata annual salary is £11,424 - £12,801 when working 20 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Lancaster, with flexibility on work location where possible however some office attendance will be required

Contracted Hours: 20 - 25 hours per week, worked over either 4 or 5 days per week - pattern of hours is flexible, please feel free to contact us to discuss

The role

You'll be based in our client's amazing new office in Lancaster, but they're happy to consider some homeworking too. They are also happy to be flexible on the pattern of hours involved in this role between 20 - 25 hours per week over a minimum of 4 working days.

In this role there is scope for you to get involved in a variety of work, from employee relations and the HR System, to fun club and our Wellbeing Action Plan.

In this role, you will be:

o Working closely with the HR team to undertake all recruitment activity, from providing first line advice, to advertising, to supporting with shortlisting and interview arrangements, to undertaking pre-employment checks and onboarding.

o Undertaking HR administrative duties including drafting letters and documentation, which support various processes relating to joiners and leavers, promotions, fixed term contracts, flexible working, family related leave, compassionate leave etc.

o Notetaking at employee relations meetings

o Helping to implement employee wellbeing activities, benefits and rewards

To be successful, you need to have a high attention to detail and take an organised approach to your work, ideally you will have either knowledge or experience of HR and the ability to apply this to the role, but this is not essential. Most importantly you will have a can-do attitude and encompase the Ascentis values with a drive to create life changing opportunities for all.
