To provide a professional, responsive and legally compliant advisory/consultancy service on a diverse range of human resource/organisational development issues for a wide range of customers.

* Support the delivery of a People Strategy that reflects our vision, values and behaviours including supporting the development of HR & OD polices and strategies that are complementary to the overarching Vision, Values and priorities for Trafford. Key duties * To assist in the delivery and continuous improvement of the HR service to ensure it is responsive, solution focused, legally compliant and people centred.

* To respond to and provide robust employee relations advice on all areas of HR including contracts of employment, attendance, performance, grievance, disciplinary, policies and procedures, ensuring a business focussed, risk managed outcome. * To support HR colleagues in the progression and administration of complex casework and organisational change programmes. This HR Advisor role has a particular focus on supporting a large scale, multi-faceted, transformation service redesign programme in one of our Directorates, which is expected to take 1 year to complete. Experience of project planning, implementing organisational change, knowledge of the job evaluation process and achieving deadlines, will be advantageous.

Reporting to a HR Business Partner who oversees all service redesign activity in this Directorate, and working closely with our HR / OD teams, Trade Unions, and our HR Shared Service , you will be joining a HR Service where you will have the opportunity to shape not only the implementation of the change programme, but to also support the long term success of Directorate People plan priorities. This may include, for example, the development and delivery of training events, shaping pay and reward options, reviewing HR data for trend analysis and the development of early intervention techniques, and the exploration and implementation of recruitment and retention initiatives
