Working Hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday



We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR/Payroll Assistant to join a small HR team, providing dedicated support to the HR manager and the business. The role is key to supporting critical HR tasks and projects including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, inductions, benefit administration and training. Responsibilities include:



  • Providing all data for payroll on a timely basis. This will include detailed calculations around annual leave entitlements, pension contributions and end of service final salaries.

  • Chasing all business areas to ensure all payroll deadlines are met for permanent and temporary staff members.

  • Supporting the recruitment process e.g. job specs, engaging with agencies, arranging interviews, recording all relevant information around applications and new starters, preparing contracts and arranging inductions.

  • Actively support the interview process for all hires, leading and attending interviews with managers, providing guidance and input to the decision making process.

  • Providing support around employee relations and engagement activities. This may include recording key data, maintaining records, providing administrative support to managers and updating and sharing policy information.

  • Maintaining up to date training records

  • Provide information to 3rd parties around benefit provision

  • Support the performance review process internally

  • Working on various adhoc HR projects as required


The successful candidate MUST have:



  • Payroll experience

  • Proven experience in a similar HR administration/HR assistant role

  • CIPD qualification or partial qualification (desired but not essential)

  • The ability to work independently where required

  • Excellent Excel and IT skills
