A fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Coordinator has just come up in the Wisbech area.

Our client are one of the largest suppliers of prepared vegetables and stir fry into retailers in the UK. They are experts in manufacturing and are currently expanding the HR team.

Purpose of the role

To support the day to day administration of the HR department, completing tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail, ensuring full compliance with auditing standards and much more

Although this role mainly includes HR responsibilities there is a requirement for cross functional working such as supporting finance, Operations and other general office duties.

Key Areas of responsibility

  • To support with the timely completion of all administrative tasks for weekly paid colleagues including, but not limited to processing of starters, leavers, colleague changes and employee relations cases.

  • Responsible with the administration of the weekly payroll processes by extracting data from the Time and Attendance system on a Monday morning and submitting hours, absence and pay adjustments details to the finance team by the completion deadline

  • Support the finance and payroll department with administration including but not limited to tracking sick pay costs, allocating employee numbers and setting up new starters on the payroll system.

  • To support with recruitment processes including screening candidates, organising interviews, managing job postings online, engaging with recruitment agencies, making offers and completing new starter paperwork

  • To support with the on boarding of new starters including arranging inductions, completing induction presentations and overseeing the management of the probation period.

  • Taking ownership of the on site locker systems to ensure that all weekly paid colleagues have adequate storage for personal and PPE items

  • Being the champion for on site communication ensuring that noticeboards and other communication methods are eye catching and up to date

  • To support with the absence management of weekly paid colleagues including letter writing, attendance at meetings, note taking and occupational health referrals/health checks

  • To maintain colleague information on the Time and Attendance/HR System ensuring the system capabilities are being utilised. This will include assisting with the ongoing paperless project within the HR Team

  • To maintain colleague information in electronic personal files ensuring GDPR is adhered too.

Person Specification

  • Experience in a similar role is essential

  • Confident, Motivated and proactive

  • Passionate and fine attention to detail

  • HR experience

  • Eastern European language speaking are desirable but not essential

  • Strong communication skills and ability to think outside the box

All of this comes with a generous salary of £23,000 - £25,000 along with a host of other benefits
