HR Change Projects Specialist


Our client, a well-known charitable organisation is looking to recruit a HR Change Projects Specialist to provide high quality advice and support to Directors, Managers and Employees on employee relations matters within a context of change management, and support the delivery of HR strategy for change within relevant client group.



  • Pay: £35k-£40k per annum

In this role, your accountabilities and responsibilities are:



  • To provide pragmatic and timely advice and guidance to managers on change management, including formal and informal processes, in line with relevant legislation and policies, including redundancy situations.

  • To provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations issues arising from change processes, including disciplinaries, grievances and absence.

  • To provide line management support to the HR Change Coordinator, ensuring that their work supports the change programme and wider organisational direction.

  • To work with the HR Business Partners in identifying workforce trends/issues arising from change and support the formulation of interventions to address these.

  • To support the Change Partner with major change programmes and lead on smaller processes, as appropriate.

  • To liaise with the HR Learning and Organisational Development team on employee learning and development to build capability and drive a high-performance culture.

  • To provide managers with advice on salary and benefits ensuring that principles of reward strategy are consistently applied and salary benchmarking conducted as appropriate.

  • To liaise with the People Shared Services team and wider HR to ensure cohesive operational support to the business.

  • In conjunction with the HRBP, to have responsibility for authorising vacancy requests and individual changes to terms and conditions arising as a result of change processes on our recruitment and HR systems.

  • Deliver inspirational and supportive line management, building a committed, empowered and successful team through effective selection, coaching, development and performance management throughout the employee life cycle.


Key Skills/Experience:




  • Must have experience of leading/managing change projects.

  • Understanding the consultation process.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior managers and employees.

  • Good Understanding of employee law and be empathetic with employees who are going through change.

  • Must have used a Mercer or Hay job evaluation type methodology.

  • Advocate for equality, diversity and fairness.

  • Understanding of employment legislation best practice and HR policy and procedure.

  • Pragmatic and solutions focused.

  • Strong customer focus and personal credibility to build productive working relationships at all levels.

  • Previous experience of working in a progressive HR function, providing advocacy and guidance on all areas of HR activity, with a focus on employment relations matters.
