CIPD qualified (Member status)


Office at least 2 days per week.. seeking experience of relations cases.


Up to date knowledge of employment legislation, and Codes of Practice and their implications in the workplace.
* Knowledgeable in developing, reviewing and implementing a range of human resources related policies, practices and procedures
* Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing demands and managing multiple projects and tasks.
* Ability to analyse and use workforce data to provide business insight for service needs and performance improvement.
* Experience in providing expert advice on employee relations, including complex case management through to Employment Tribunal, and human resource management, including the negotiation and conflict resolution of significant matters.
* Experience of successfully handling service re-organisation programmes, working collaboratively with representative groups and other stakeholders on complex HR issues including TUPE
* Experience and ability to partner the organisation to achieve excellence through its people.
* Proven experience of working effectively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, to facilitate their cooperation and support, in order to achieve desired outcomes whilst establishing and maintaining strong and productive working relationships.


* Work closely with line managers on specific reorganisation, process migration and redundancy issues. Execute TUPE transfers including due diligence and consultation. Identify wider implications of HR issues, resourcing requirements and risks during the business planning processes


* Provide advice to managers, and staff, in relation to employment law, reward, compensation, grading issues and HR policies, practices and procedures. Research, develop and implement HR best practice and procedures. Facilitate effective implementation and consistency of the clients's HR policies and procedures.


* Use workforce management data developing a proactive, insightful approach of workforce data that embeds the business partnering approach evidencing workforce analysis.


* Champion, promote and demonstrate the clients's values in all aspects/areas of the role both within the directorate and across the clients. Support the clients management team in the delivery of its vision and corporate priorities. Demonstrate an outcome driven approach to work in line with the corporate vision and values


* Take responsibility for assisting managers to provide effective leadership, and communication with their staff. Advise managers on specific HR policies, employment law and the application of general principles of best practice.


* Champion and support continuous professional development within the team. Foster a culture of innovation and ambition throughout the team, including appropriate levels of accountability and consultation.


* Monitor the delivery of own service area against agreed targets, timescales and resources. Ensure appropriate action and interventions are taken to achieve desired outcomes.


* Attend directorate management meetings to keep ahead of developments requiring HR interventions.


* Proactively lead and manage allocated HR projects encompassing management of all associated resources including project team members and budgets, etc to ensure successful completion and delivery.


* Advise and assist on the management of change, using the change toolkit and other interventions. Assist in maintaining organisational capability throughout the process of change. Work with managers in planning, scheduling and costing the HR resource requirements for change.


* Keep abreast with professional developments and legislative requirements and their applications which affect services
