Adecco are currently working with a great client based in Darlington to recruit a HR Officer to join their team.

Reporting to the Group HR manager you will be supporting the HR Manager to provide HR support to the business and in particular one of our subsidiary businesses in a generalist capacity.

This role would suit a candidate looking for the opportunity to have accountability in a full generalist capacity as a sole HR representative.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work alongside the team to provide routine advice and administrative support to the full employee life cycle, for example, onboarding, job advertising, new starter paperwork.

  • Support and administer the staffing approval/request to recruit process and work within strict deadlines.

  • Provide routine support in relation to HR processes and procedures relating to HR casework (such as grievance, capability, disciplinary) and assist with documentation and reports.

  • Liaising with the training department to ensure effective communication across both departments

  • Providing administrative support and general assistance to the HR Team on a range of activities

  • Manage HR documentation in line with GDPR

  • Respond to HR employee relation queries and provide advice to colleagues, line managers and Directors across the group

  • Any other ad hoc tasks that may be required

Personal qualities, experience and skills:

  • HR experience essential

  • Recruitment experience essential

  • CIPD qualified Level 3 or above essential

  • Strong administration skills

  • Confident use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Email

  • Administrative experience gained in a fast moving, detail focused environment

  • The ability to build strong relationships and using your own initiative is essential

  • Basic understanding of employment legislation

The role is permanent full time working 35 hours Monday - Friday. This role can also accommodate some remote working.
