Supporting and reporting to the HR Business Partner, focusing on the learning and development side of the business, responsibilities as stated:

  • Develop and implement methods and tools designed to assess training and development needs; monitor and evaluate courses to inform future decision making and organisational training metrics

  • Schedule and set up training events in the annual learning and development plan; sourcing/booking external training providers, venues and resources as required

  • Design and deliver in house training; creating and preparing learning aids and materials

  • To demonstrate consistency and sound practice in all HR dealings.

  • Choose appropriate training methods per case (classroom style, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes etc.); choosing accepted education principles and track new training methods and techniques

  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts to deliver agreed training material

  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment

  • Ensure that all training meets the requirements as specified in relevant Company policies and procedures, as well as internal/external audit requirements and legal, business and customer standards.

  • Ensure the Company's apprentices have effective training programmes in place to support them to achieve their apprenticeship and to meet the needs of the business

  • With the assistance of the H&S Officer, write H&S related training and deliver in house training as required

  • Own the Company Induction and Induction Plan, including updating content and delivery/facilitation of the day itself with passion and energy; ensuring ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement of the day.

  • Maintain accurate training records and collate, analyse and create metrics for organisational use.

  • Work with the HR Business Partner to actively promote and support learning and development across the Company.

  • Working with the HRBP to develop understanding and knowledge of HR processes and procedures.


  1. Promote the continual improvement of processes within the company and the HR function.

  2. Ensure that all work activities and records comply with Company Policies, Procedures and Codes of Practice.

  3. Build proactive relationships with other departments and external bodies to develop and continuously improve the performance of the HR function.

  4. Provide support to the HR Business Partner to develop, embed and deliver the HR Strategy
