Hub Supervisor

Starting: ASAP

Duration: 3 months with an opportunity to go permanent

Client: Tech courier service

Hourly rate: £10.85

Location: Central London

Hours: Varied shifts - some weekends involved

My client is looking for a new confident member to join the Operations team in the new Edinburgh Hub. As a Hub Supervisor, your shifts will vary through weekends and weekdays, daytime and evening.

What you'll do:

� Support to unloading/load vans or cargo bikers

� Scan parcels when arrived/handing off/returned

� Sorting orders following system indication in view to speed up order processing

� Picking a group of parcels and handing them off to riders

� Resolve parcel issues as they arise, including missing or extra package and damaged items as well.

� Managing and supporting our riders

� Issue reporting and basic excel spreadsheets

� Be in touch with live operations support

What you will need:

� Resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure

� Tech-ready and a fast learner, ready to adapt and develop

� Confidence in finding solutions and taking decisions in real-time

� Ability to multi-task and prioritise

� Proactivity in managing the workload

� Flexibility in your mindset to handle the unexpected

� Commitment towards your work, team and partners

� Able to spend a whole shift moving through the hub facility, sorting and scanning parcels then picking groups of packages to hand off to the courier

� Experience in some form of warehouse, logistics-related or material management operations
