  • This post will have a requirement for the postholder to work in the Head Office (London) two days a week, with flexibility around home working.  


The Adecco Group is proud to be working with the Security Industry Authority, the regulatory body of the private security industry, and part of the Home Office. The Security Industry Authority (SIA), the UK Government's Arm's Length body responsible for the regulation of the private security industry, are looking for a HR Officer to join them on a permanent basis.

This role offers the opportunity for Hybrid working with attendance to the SIA's London, Docklands office required for 2 days a week.


This post draws together several key tasks that are crucial in providing HR operational support to enable the HR team to progress a number of key corporate projects. You will use a full mixture of skills built on from enthusiasm, a questioning approach and hands-on experience, to support the Employee Relations & Wellbeing Partners and the Human Resources Manager in relation to employee relations cases and wellbeing initiatives, delivering efficient day to day HR administration and supporting the other HR Officer.


Responsibilities:



  • The first point of call for basic ER & Wellbeing queries, escalating where necessary.

  • Ensures that HR administrative tasks are carried out on time, to a high standard. Including contract amendments such as flexible working requests, processing probation reviews.

  • Takes accurate notes at a variety of meetings & ensures these are distributed to relevant parties in a timely manner.

  • Providing advice and action to support with a wide range of employee relations matters.

  • Overseeing the administration of health and wellbeing for new starts & existing staff. Supporting staff at times of distress and monitoring of staff wellbeing

  • Managing the HR team shared email inbox, escalating more complex queries, & employee relations issues to the appropriate Employee Relations & Wellbeing Partner or HR Manager,

  • Utilising HR systems to run structure reports, provide case management updates, maintain staff records online particularly sickness records.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Criteria



  • Experience of working effectively & accurately in an administrative role.

  • Experience of using HR Systems, occupational health, and other online portals.

  • Ability to present solutions and get things done through collaboration with colleagues but also challenge where necessary.

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of employment & equalities legislation, and HR best practice.

  • Demonstrable HR experience including drafting numerous of types of communications to internal and external customers i.e. sickness letters, promotions, & emails to all staff, with updates.

  • Able to communicate clearly, convincingly & sensitively, with a broad range of people.

  • Experience of taking notes at meetings, whether it is sickness, or other contentious meetings.


Qualifications



  • Good level of Education in English and Business Studies

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel.

  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent qualification. Or provide evidence of appropriate level of knowledge, skills & abilities.
