Implementation Manager

Our client, an independent safety and economic regulator for Britain's railways and the independent monitor of Highways are currently recruting for an Implemenation Manager who is an experienced IT/ ISO Compliance implementation professional to ensure all elements required are in place. You will have had experience of working in organisations in a similar position and you will work with the existing teams, producing documentation and implementing process and monitoring system.

Working to the Security and Estates manager and within the Compliance team, you will work on a day to day basis with the IS technical team and the Service delivery team.

  • Location: City of London

  • Pay: £41,000-£49,000 per annum

  • Hours: Monday to Friday - 37 hours p/week

  • Type: FTC

  • Duration: Until April 2020

  • Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building on the existing policies and documentation to produce documentation to meet the requirements of ISO27001.

  • Compare the organisations current IS operations and documentation with the ISO standard and updating documentation, recommending the changes required.

  • Produce a strategy and project plan to implement changes to systems as necessary.

  • Working with the technical team and the service delivery team to implement those changes.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the essential elements set out below;

Technical (up to 8) - the demonstration of specific professional skills, knowledge or qualifications.

  • ISO lead implementer or ISO27001 lead auditor certification.

  • Understanding of modern cloud based networks and how they operate

  • Good understanding of Cyber risks and how to mitigate them.

Behaviours (up to 8) - the actions and activities that people do which result in effective performance in a job

  • Able to demonstrate an ability to initiate and develop productive and professional relationships, and to make best use of these to achieve successful business focussed outcomes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation and with any third party suppliers

  • Excellent IT skills appropriate to the role.

  • Experience of working on high profile projects

  • Ability to produce documents and to use IT skills to produce high quality documentation around services for others to follow.

Experience - the knowledge or mastery of an activity or subject gained through involvement in or exposure to it.

  • Experience of implementing ISO27001 in similar sized organisations.

  • Experience of managing IT services or projects using either direct team reports or track record of contract management to achieve high quality services.

  • Experience of working within an organisation (or organisations) to deliver effective outcomes.

  • Experience of working within a public sector organisation and within the baseline security standards as applicable to Government organisations.

  • Understanding of the role of the National Cyber Security Centre
