Adecco are looking to recruit a Temporary Income Officer to join one of our Housing clients in the North West of England.
This would be a mainly be working from home, but applicants must be available to travel to North Manchester on occasion for meetings and collaborative working.
The role: To manage rent accounts on a patch of properties or within specific targeted work focusing on high levels of collection and managing arrears in a firm but fair manner. To provide a range of financial advice for customers to understand managing debt and budgeting advice, undertake follow up work and/or signpost to specialist services
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high quality income collection and arrears recovery service in full accordance with the Association's policies and procedures.
- Manage rent accounts to ensure customers make payments as appropriate and that arrears are kept to a minimum
- Carry out face to face interviews, home visits and telephone contacts with customers to provide advice and guidance to customers who are struggling to manage their rent accounts
- Provide advice and guidance to customers relating to eligibility for Welfare Benefits including Housing Benefit and Universal Credit, and signposting to specialist support providers where appropriate
- Liaise with external agencies that including legal advisors, social services, support services and benefit agencies.
- Provide financial advice and guidance across a broad range of personal finance issues, completing financial statements, submitting appeals and referring to appropriate agencies
- Take enforcement action in a timely manner, as appropriate, including service of notices, attendance at court and evictions
Requirements:
- Must have previous experience working in a similar role within the Housing Sector
