Responsibilities:


To provide a hands-on approach for high quality painting and decorating works for the Elton Glass Manufacturing site. You will be responsible for mentoring and training the apprentices and aid in their progression to become qualified painters and decorators.


Although not exhaustive this role will:



  • Complete the agreed painting requirements to pre agreed standards

  • Advise on the painting materials and preparation required to complete the works

  • Work closely with the Glass operations teams and Cleaning teams agreeing plans and actions for all parties to complete the painting

  • Collate daily painting materials from stores and source painting materials from suppliers.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of painting with the Operations team and set schedules.

  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with Encirc Health & Safety regulation

  • Work with the Facilities team and Glass operations team to develop a painting strategy for the site

  • Support Facilities Manager for Continuous Improvement activities and process reviews

  • Mentor the apprentices in accordance with Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education guidelines.

  • Work with key stakeholders in the Glass plant, H&S, SOP's and supplementary process and procedures for the Facilities Team

  • Daily communication with the Facilities Supervisor




The Ideal Candidate:



  • Good level of experience in Mentoring Apprentices.


  • Senior painter and Decorator - Essential




  • MEWP trained




  • Excellent communication and delegation skills




  • Drive consistent high performance with the ability to effectively prioritise




  • Ability to work on short-term issues and support colleagues across the business

Working Hours08.00 to 16.45 Mon to Thurs, Fri 08.00 to 16.15 - 39.5 hours
