Injection Moulding Setter - Team Leader

Weekends only - 6am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday

£14.30 per hour


Basingstoke, Hampshire

We are looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to cover a Team leader role on Saturdays and Sundays, working 6am to 6pm.

Working for an established thermoplastic injection moulding company that designs, produces, and supplies fasteners, fastener systems and assemblies to the automotive OEM's and their 1st tier suppliers.

As part of the production team and reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will need:

* Previous experience of working in an injection moulding environment, either as a Setter or Supervisor and you will be expected to ensure the continuous running of the moulding machines at the optimum cycle time, to produce quality products in accordance with the specified OEE target

* Will be responsible for managing a small team of operators, to ensure all allocated tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner

* You will be expected to adhere to the company's specified processes and complete documentation and quality inspection checks accordingly, to ensure the company remains compliant with the requirements of our customers and our own policies. You will need to be familiar with working in an environment operating IATF 16949, ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 management systems are preferred.

* You will have successfully passed a Fundamentals of Systemic Injection Moulding course or equivalent and have experience of conducting attribute visual inspection checks.

* Experience of operating a range moulding machines from 50 tons to 150 tons. Preferred candidates will have experience of operating Fanuc Roboshot electric moulding machines, operating and setting Fanuc robots, sprue pickers, hopper loaders/dryers and dosing units.

* Experience of processing a wide range of raw materials.

* Experience of processing POM, TPE, TPV, PA6, PA66, PBT, PP and other filled and unfilled engineering polymers, utilising hot and cold runner systems, incorporating open and pneumatically operated valve gates is preferred.

Please note this is a part time position working Saturdays and Sundays and is a permanent role.
