We currently have an opportunity for an Inspection Officer to join a successful organisation based in Redbridge.

The company are a property management company who manage properties up and down the country. You will liaise with tenants, local authorities, landlords and maintenance personnel to inspect properties and quickly identify and respond to issues in a timely manner. You will undertake risk assessments and ensure compliance and health and safety standards are maintained.

Duties will include:

  • Meeting and settling in tenants for placements at properties and showing them around the properties.

  • Producing high quality Inspection Reports detailing condition of property and documenting any repairs/concerns in an articulate and well-written manner.

  • Communicating effectively with tenants.

  • Updating CRM system with Inspection Reports and photos.

  • Ensuring the tenants have sufficient amount of gas and electric top up on the card meter.

  • Providing tenants with keys for properties when locked out in hours and possible out of hours.

  • Undertaking occupancy checks at properties.

  • Meeting Local Authorities and landlords at properties and liaising on follow up action

  • Being able to plan your route/day/journey in order to undertake and complete tasks given.

  • Understanding of maintenance i.e. how to check if the boiler is working, top up pressure etc.

  • Completing Fire Log Books; smoke alarm logs; other health and safety logs.

  • Completing Incident Reports.

Due to the nature of the role, you will require a DBS check carried out by the company. A full clean driving license is also required. You must have a general understanding of maintenance, and experience within the housing or property sector in a similar role would be an advantage.

Hours are: Monday to Friday 9 am - 5:30 pm, and one Saturday every 4 weeks on a rota basis (10am - 2pm)
