Interim Management Accounts Assistant

£115 - £122p/d *Inside IR35

Lincoln * (Hybrid Working - On site at least 1 day per week)

An NHS organisation across Lincoln is looking to recruit an Interim Management Accounts Assistant to join their wider finance team.

The Role:

  • To take day to day responsibility for a range of budget areas, providing high quality financial monitoring information and offering advice and support to budget holders.

  • To assist in the annual budget setting process

  • You will be resolving errors where they are identified during and between month end, the identification of budget variances and investigation of the reasons for the variances.

  • You will be involved with the in-depth analysis of data from a number of information systems i.e., General Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Payroll, Purchase Order.

  • Complete the monthly income and expenditure forecasts for designated departments

  • Providing ad hoc costing on skill mix changes and vacant posts in line with establishment control procedures.

  • Assisting with the calculation of budgets as part of the annual budget setting process for input to the Trust's annual budget setting process.


  • NHS Experience

  • AAT Intermediate or educated to A Level standard

  • Excellent IT skills (including email and Excel spreadsheets)

  • Ability to understand and manipulate data

  • Must have good communication skills
