If you answer yes to any of these questions - we may have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity to join Devon & Cornwall Police as an Interviewer. This is a full time position, based in Camborne, Newquay until the end of September 2022. You will be preparing, conducting and recording remote interviews of victims and witnesses.


  • Providing care for witnesses and victims by identifying any risk, harm and vulnerability issues - assessing an appropriate response for the need for onward referral

  • Recording statements of remote interviews and ensure statements are legible and meet the required evidential and quality standards and comply with the CPS guidelines

  • Complete allocated enquiries within a required timescale

  • Be accountable for decisions regarding all aspects preparing, conducting and recording interviews and producing statements

You will have:

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Experience using MS Office

  • Good organisational skills

  • Brilliant interpersonal skills

  • Emotionally resilient - you will be working with disturbing evidence or disturbing circumstances
