IT Assistant Manager wanted on a permanent basis - working 40 hours per week for our successful and growing client based in Dundee.


Working in support of the IT Manager, you will subordinate and step into this Senior role, providing hands-on operational support and guidance to the IT team. Currently consisting of 3 people.


Providing excellent customer service the business which currently extends to 39 locations across the UK and over 1000 system-users, your past experience in a 3rd Line support function - along with your ability to manage a team means you will be successful in this post!


With a diplomatic, empathetic and adaptable approach to any tasks, you will keep a coll-head during times of increased intensity that IT issues can generate.


Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Providing 3rd line technical support to the full staff - acting as an escalation point for the Helpdesk

  • Supervise the IT Helpdesk and team

  • Infrequent travel to premises throughout Scotland to provide support on installations

  • Day to day staff management


Competencies:



  • A Degree in Computing or equivalent

  • Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Managerial experience in running a team

  • Experience in XML, E-Commerce and Cyber Security advantageous

You will have worked within the field of IT for a good length of time, preferably within staff-management. You will ideally enjoy a challenge and with your flexible, adaptable approach - be able to communicate with a really varied group of colleagues.
