£35,000 to £40,000 per annum


Hybrid/Merged working in West Yorkshire



We are working with a brilliant education provider who have schools across Yorkshire and are looking to grow their established procurement team by adding another Procurement Officer/Procurement Manager to the team.



Whilst this role is suitable for all Public Sector experienced and qualified procurement professionals, it is imperative that you have a desire to work specifically with the IT team who are in need of a dedicated procurement professional to help them with the buying of both hard and soft ware. Whilst you do not need to know anything about IT right now, a desire to learn would be beneficial.


Overall purpose of the post: To support both the Head of Procurement and Director of Technology in providing procurement expertise across the organisation and delivering the IT Category's pipeline, ensuring students get the most out of the funding available for their education. You will be responsible for leading on IT related procurement across all non-staffing spend with suppliers to maximise the value for money secured for our students. This is an ambitious, growing organisation, with a national profile. As a key member of this team you will have significant scope for future development and will be instrumental in the ongoing success of over 26,000 students, and therefore, the organisation.


Who are you:



  • Experience of leading and managing a range of procurement activities and drafting all associated tender/contract documentation to effectively manage commercial risks.

  • Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015.

  • An understanding and awareness of Local Government/public sector procurement issues e.g. competitive tendering requirements, achievement of best value, need for a mixed economy, the role of procurement in the delivery of best value and efficiency
