We have identified the need for an IT Project Manager in My Retirement. The role is to support multiple Scrum Teams with the delivery of initiatives on Pension products and platforms. The individual is to work closely with our Product Owners, Engineering, Infrastructure/Solution Architecture experts to ensure compliance prior to release delivery.


As a Project Manager you will report to the Engineering Lead who manages the release plans across the lab. You'll be responsible for the planning, coordination and facilitation of software packages/products for applications. Role modelling robust risk management and effective & collaborative stakeholder working relationships. You will also coach and mentor engineers on the best practices of change governance and safe deployments into production.


Working in an Agile Environment to deliver new products to market, you'll be required to collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and Product Owners and hence strong collaboration and communication skills are key.

  • You'll bring project delivery experience in an agile environment with a strong understanding of IT Project management enabling a continuous deployment approach.

  • You'll possess experience in delivering digital transformation projects/programmes.

  • You'll define/contribute to strategic direction to ensure the desired customer and business outcomes are achieved.

  • You will own the technical and security deliverables to ensure that releases meet the required governance.

  • You will lead/contribute to third party engagements across the platform and wider value stream.

  • Supporting management of the IT delivery plan, identifying key dependencies and the critical chain to deliver customer outcomes and achieve speed to market.

  • You will be an excellent stakeholder manager to build and maintain collaborative relationships at multiple levels to ensure communications and engagement are timely and relevant.

  • You will liaise with the implementation manager to ensure the required logistics for the implementation event are fully planned and cascaded across the relevant stakeholders.

  • You'll influence/mentor a wide range of colleagues on safe deployments and change governance.



What we need from you:



  • You'll be proficient in creating IT plans, particularly running parallel releases, spanning multiple teams, identifying key milestones to measure delivery progress.

  • You will have agile delivery experience in either a Business/Technology/Engineering function.

  • You'll be proficient in running/attending senior governance forums.

  • You'll have experience in building route to live plans for Digital Channels.

  • You'll have strong technical mindset and have skills spanning digital domains.

  • You'll be a strong leader, with an ability to share a vision in line with the organisation's.

  • You will be a proficient communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and management level.

  • You'll have robust risk management experience, through active management of risks, issues and dependencies.

  • You will have a strong awareness of technical governance deliverables to manage and complete the application service introduction for each release, ensuring all the technical and security deliverables are defined and approved.

  • You will be proficient in defining application support models and the incident triage process, to ensure a smooth handover post implementation to Service and Operations.

  • You will be a highly motivated team player with a desire to pioneer best practise and improves ways of ways of working with team collaboration.
