IT Support Administrator


£21,000.00-£30,000.00 per year


Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm (Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 days working from home)

Out client is currently recruiting for an experienced 'IT Support Administrator' to join their friendly team based is Shrewsbury.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • New User/PC setup

  • Active Directory/Exchange Maintenance within an Office 365 Environment

  • Basic server administration

  • Administration of Anti-Virus software

  • Administering VOIP Telephone System

  • Administration of VPN in UK and NL

  • Repairing Hardware such as Laptops, PCs and Printers to minimise disruption to end users

  • Maintenance of ERP Software

  • Experience of SQL

  • Maintaining business critical bespoke software

  • Communicating effectively with end users in UK, NL and DK

  • Liaising with 3rd party support teams/consultants

  • End user requirement gathering

  • Contribute to department knowledge base

  • Remote support via Teamviewer

  • Assisting with ongoing IT projects

  • Respond to system down requests immediately

  • Create and maintain company reports

What you'll need to succeed:

  • A qualification/education in an IT related field

  • Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk/Project environment

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Experience with ERP systems would be advantageous

  • Experience with Office 365 administration, Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10

  • Proven experience of troubleshooting Hardware and Software problems

  • Ability to work independently or part of a small team

  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technically minded end users from different countries

  • Excellent organisation skills, ability to prioritise workload

  • Experience with SQL, SSRS would be an advantage, but not essential as relevant training will be provided

  • 'Can-do' positive attitude essential

  • Quick to learn and able to adapt to change of environment

  • Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach to working hours is required as out of hours support maybe required

  • Willingness to learn new skills
