Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, an IT Support Advisor to work for the head offices of a successful and growing organisation based in Chorley.

Salary: £19 - 24K (dependent on experience). The role will be office based in Chorley


Working hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30am - 5pm with potential early finish from work on a Friday (8:30am - 3:30 pm)

Prime Responsibility / Role Summary


To be responsible for IT support for the business across applications and hardware. Advising as appropriate on the IT needs of the business and managers across the group.


To be responsible for the stock of mobile phones and the maintenance, repair and use.


As a client facing, brand ambassador we expect you to manage client expectations in a collaborative and positive way whilst driving company priorities.


We expect you to be commercially and financially aware of work you are entering into.


Duties and Responsibilities


IT Support


- Logging and processing support calls (There is a need for this to be 24/7 with evening and weekend advice given as necessary).


- Solving password problems.


- Restoring from backups.


- Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter.


- Responding to breakdowns.


- Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.


IT Set Up


- Setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in.


- Cost effective procuring and configuring computer hardware, software, printers and scanners.


- Maintaining software licenses.


IT / Phone Maintenance


- Repairing equipment (pcs and phones) and replacing parts.


- Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.


IT Development


- SQL database creation and management. Writing custom queries.


- Office 365 PowerShell scripting.


- Microsoft PowerApps building and maintenance.


- Microsoft Flow - Maintenance of critical workflows.


- Microsoft Teams implementation. Creation and customisation of Teams. Training.


- SharePoint/OneDrive. File management, archiving, managing permissions.



Qualifications & Certificates Essential /Desirable


GSCE Maths



GCSE English



Competencies Essential /Desirable


Excellent English, written and oral communication skills:


- Negotiation skills


- Ability to interpret information and produce reports


- Client relationship management



Excellent IT skills intermediate level:


- MS Word


- MS Excel


- MS Power-point


- Azure SQL


- Windows Server
