£25,000-30,000k (Days - Flexi time 36.25 hours per week)



  • Manage and monitor all installed IT systems and infrastructure

  • Install, configure, test, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, application software and system management tools

  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

  • Implement and maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

  • Maintain the inventory of hardware and software

  • Manage backups including the rotation of backup media

  • Update systems regularly with approved software updates.

  • Upgrade systems regularly with new releases and models for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution

  • Monitor and maintain CCTV systems

  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with other members of the team to implement those fixes

  • Test and evaluate new technology

  • Provide technical support to end users for both hardware and software issues

  • Be an active member of the IT helpdesk team, which includes but is not limited to answering any user requests made via phone call, electronic helpdesk software, or in person.

  • Monitor the IT helpdesk ticket queue and process tickets based on priority

  • Log all IT helpdesk requests onto the electronic IT helpdesk software and provide detailed resolutions to each ticket

  • Liaise with vendors and other members of the IT team for problem resolution and to share knowledge

  • Perform routine system checks on a daily basis (Hardware, Backups, SQL Database Jobs, Disk Space, WSUS Windows Updates etc.)

  • Provide out of hours support to production areas for emergencies only on a weekly rota basis

  • Networking - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, Firewall, VPN Support

  • Routers and Switches - Cisco

  • Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues

  • The ability to work in a team and communicate at all levels in the business is essential
