They are looking to recruit an experienced 1st/ 2nd Line IT Support Specialist and will offer long term career security as well training and development and excellent benefits.

This really is an exciting opportunity to join their IT team. The successful candidate will act as first line support for all IT issues and be able to gain an understanding in infrastructure, database management, and software development from other members of the IT team.

Demonstratable Skills/ Experience and Qualifications Neccessary:

Excellent problem determination skills drawing from IT knowledge.

Have a strong foundation in IT, ideally educated in IT.

Excellent communication skills

  • Active Directory

  • Vmware

  • Windows

  • Exchange Admin Centre

  • Networking

  • Working with IT ticket systems

  • Experience in a similar role

Certifications needed

  • ITIL Foundation certification

  • CompTIA A+

Duties to include:

  • Act as first line support for all IT systems and to escalate to other members of the team when required.

  • Manage IT support requests in a ticket system ensuring they are dealt with in a timely manner.

  • Administration of company IT systems and processes.

  • Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding IT issues.

  • Assist users when issues and queries arise, acting as 1st and sometimes 2nd line support.

  • Provide estimations to line manager for time to make changes and resolve outstanding issues.

  • Demonstrate skilled judgement to excel in this role.

  • Ownership of root cause analysis and resolution.

  • Be dedicated to the highest quality in everything you do & encourage this in others.

  • To continually test solutions to make recommendations for changes or refinements to IT systems in place.

  • Proactively keep Line Manager appraised of events in the team.

  • Champion change and improvements to the company's processes and use of systems.

  • Champion open communication & encourage this throughout the IT team.

  • Ensuring your team members are aware of and actively using improvements to processes and systems.

  • Test new products and services introduced by the IT team.
