IT Systems Support Engineer


Salary- Dependent on experience

Adecco's well established client based in Coventry are recruiting for a IT systems support engineer.

Primarily responsible for providing first line IT support to staff in all core business systems as well as assisting the IT Manager in supporting & developing our IT network services and infrastructure to satisfy and meet business objectives.

  • Monitor and manage support tickets from staff and respond in a timely manner

  • Provide staff with prompt, courteous, quality help and support (Hardware and Software)

  • Assisting the IT Manager with day to day network administration and support

  • Setup, configuration and deployment of IT assets (Computers, Software, Printers etc…)

  • Assist in maintaining procedures and documentation

  • Ensuring security best practices are followed

  • Work with other departments to facilitate business improvement projects

  • Provide appropriate IT training which may be required by staff

Essential skills / experiences:

  • Experience supporting and maintaining Windows Server 2008/12 and 16

  • Experience supporting Windows 10 and Microsoft Office

  • Experience supporting Exchange Server 2010

  • Working with Active Directory & Group Policy Objects

  • Good understanding of DNS and DHCP

  • SQL Server support and management

Desirable skills / experiences:

  • Scripting including SQL and PowerShell

  • Experience supporting Salesforce, Service Cloud and Pardot

  • Experience working with Magic XPI and/or other integration platforms

  • Experience working with Oracle and/or other Enterprise ERP systems

  • Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting systems (QlikView & Crystal Reports)

  • Experience supporting Avaya IP Office PBX

  • Experience in supporting Cisco Switches, Servers, Firewalls, proxies and wireless controllers

  • Experience working with and managing virtual environments and in particular using vSphere and Veeam Backup and Replication

  • Cisco/Microsoft or other relevant certifications
