JOB TITLE: IT Technician
LOCATION: From home / Based from office in Lewes when safe to return
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 3 months contract initially
PAY RATE: £11.90 PAYE OR £15.30 Umbrella



The ESCC IT&D Service Hub triage all incoming phones calls to IT&D and a large proportion of Self Service Tickets and Live Chats.

The ESCC Service Hub is an extremely busy department supporting over 5,000 users and around 800 applications. Those applications are on a variety of On Premise and Cloud Solutions. We operate on Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Citrix Endpoints along with a significant iPhone Estate.

The Service Hub takes in the region of 180 - 250 Phone calls a day. You'll be expected to be able to triage up to 60 tickets a day in a professional, friendly, organised manner. Hours of work are usually 09:00 - 17:00.




Essential Criteria
Successful Applicant will require a suitable office environment to work in from home due to current COVID situation. First few days on site for training - COVID-Secure Office.
Requires DBS Check
Min 6 Months 1st Line Customer facing IT Experience
Excellent customer service skills and phone manner
Knowledge of ITSM Application(s) and demonstrable experience of triage of tickets.
Knowledge of Incident Management and Problem Management Processes
Knowledge of Profile Rebuild Process for Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Citrix Profiles
Strong Problem Solving Ability
Ability to work well under pressure with competing demands, and stay calm.
Ability to prioritise and manage own workload under pressure, with minimal supervision
Essential to be able to multitask

Desirable Criteria
Previous experience working in a large organisation within a 1st or 2nd Line Customer facing support role
ITIL qualified
Knowledge of troubleshooting Client VPN - Remote Connection User issues
Knowledge of O365, MS Teams, and Skype
Knowledge of MS Office 2010
Knowledge of Liquid Logic
Knowledge of MDM Systems and iPhone operation on them.
