Adecco Cramlington are delighted to represent their client with a fantastic opportunity. Our client is a highly successful Global Manufacturer and Distributor. Our client is recruiting for a Junior Logistics Coordinator on a permanent basis. Within the role you will be supporting the Manufacturing function. This role will be instrumental in ensuring finished goods are produced and supplied to the highest quality.


This role is 70% manual, and 30% administration, this position would be the perfect opportunity for the right individual who has the willingness to learn and would like the opportunity to progress within in their career, as our client would also support you through the CIPs qualifications


Hours: Monday - Thursday 8 - 5pm and Friday 8 - 2.40pm
Salary £20'000 - £25'000


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Monitor the flow of materials throughout the supply chain.

  • Support regular stock takes.

  • Replenish (line feed) production Kanban's, to achieve the production plan.

  • Support the ordering of raw materials and transport to ensure material is received in-line with the production plan.

  • Use computer tracking system (Oracle) to monitor the location of parts.

  • Follow-up the production plan realization by managing alert systems and follow the unloading, receipt, and transportation of raw materials.

  • Work in collaboration with customers, freight carrier and supplier relationships.

  • Follow supplier delivery performance and the service of logistics partners.

  • Develop standardized work instructions from raw material feeding to Kanban's to packaging of finished goods.

  • Produces export documentation for outgoing finished products.

  • Ensure a safe working environment and excellent housekeeping standards, to 5 S level.

  • Undertakes and co-ordinates, continuous improvement Materials specific projects.

  • Temporarily provides cover support for other roles when necessary.


The Person


You will be a graduate or Junior looking for a role where you can apply your theoretical knowledge and learn on the job. A strong communicator and team worker, you will be a self-starter with the ability to use you own initiative. You will have a good attention to detail and a passion to succeed in your career.



  • Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics or similar.

  • Experience within a supply chain/logistics role.

  • Either CIPS registered or has the desire to progress through the CIPS qualification route.

  • Experience of an ERP system would be advantageous.

  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck Certificate.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to use own initiative.

  • Good communicator and team worker.
