Junior Property Assistant

£18,000 - £20,000

Our Client, a leading Independent Cheltenham based lettings and estate agency based in the town centre requires a Junior Property Assistant to join their busy lettings team on an permanent basis.

If you seeking a first step into the Property sector, this may be the perfect role for you. Whilst previous property/lettings experience is preferred this is not essential.

The key tasks involve

* Handling telephone and face to face calls and enquiries, booking appointments and valuations and following up on general business opportunities for both the lettings and sales businesses.
* Setting up of property files and processing paperwork.
* Assist in co-ordinating the move-in processes once a tenant has secured a property and the check-out processes at the end of a tenancy.
* Arranging property inspections, handling property maintenance issues and co-ordinating repair works.
* Visiting properties
* Carrying out other ad hoc tasks.

Experience required

  • you must have proven experience of strong administrative abilities

  • very good telephone skills and enjoy working with figures and people.

  • You will enjoy providing high levels of customer service and relish the opportunity of seeing a project through from start to finish.

  • Ability to handle a busy workload and work to deadlines is essential.


  • Microsoft word experience and the ability to pick up new systems.

  • Accurate typing skills

  • An eye for accuracy

Monday - Friday 8:45am to 5:30pm

You will also be required to work every other Saturday 9am - 2:30pm with a half day in the week!

A full clean drivers licence is also required for this role.

Benefits - 4 weeks holidays and an annual increase up to 25 days

You will also be encouraged to study towards professional ARLA exams and will be incentivised to complete the exams within six months, which is very achievable.
