Landscape Architect



We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Landscape Architect (Advanced / Senior Level) to join and be an integral part of our clients small and friendly Landscape Planning & Design team.



We are currently seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect (recently qualified or with one or two years' experience) with a good range of skills who is looking to take the next step in their career.


Candidates who are currently on the Pathway to Chartership with the relevant skills and experience are also encouraged to apply.



You will take an active role working closely with and supporting the Head of Landscape, alongside the Directors of the Ecology and Arboricultural consultancy, on a diverse and expanding portfolio of work. Your primary role will be working on and project managing a range of strategic and design projects (RIBA Stages 0-7). This will include attending meetings / site visits; developing relationships with clients; working collaboratively with design teams, planning authorities and other stakeholders; managing / mentoring members of the landscape team; and working closely with the ecologists and arboriculturists. Some knowledge of Landscape and Visual Assessment and a passion in ecological design would be beneficial. For the right candidate there will also be the opportunity to assist in developing and growing the landscape business.



REQUIRED SKILLS




  • A relevant Degree and Post Graduate Diploma or MA in Landscape Architecture

  • A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with one- or two-years post qualification experience in the UK

  • Talented and creative with a good practical understanding of both the principles and technical aspects of design

  • Able to problem solve and actively contribute to and articulate ideas

  • Self-motivated and organised with the ability to manage projects to deadlines

  • Confident in dealing directly with clients and able to work collaboratively within a consultant team.

  • Good all-round skills in graphics, presentation, verbal and written communication and an attention to detail.

  • Proficient in relevant software (CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Microsoft packages etc). The following skills would be desirable although not essential:

  • An interest in ecology led design

  • Landscape and Visual Assessment including Impact Assessment

  • A full clean UK driving license



Location: Home Based, suitable candidates must have access to their own transport & be willing to travel to site within the Aylesbury and surrounding areas (when needed)

Pay: Competitive & Dependent on experience
