The person appointed will be required to carry out the following duties as a minimum:




  • Ensuring the consistent application of School National and Local agreements.

  • Maintaining the record of School terms and conditions of employment and entitlements for different groups of staff.

  • Assist in gathering feedback from customers on the effectiveness of the Schools HR Advisory service's delivery to inform the continuous improvement process.

  • Ensuring that the Council intranet is maintained with accurate and relevant information including FAQs relating to the Schools HR Advisory team.

  • Assist in producing reports and manipulating data as directed by senior colleagues.

  • Have an understanding of statutory employment checks.

  • Be the first point of contact and provide advice to HR Assistants who are involved in recruitment and employment checking processes.

  • To assist Schools with conducting HR meetings including supporting the initial stages of disciplinary cases, Stage One sickness absence meetings and initial stages of performance management issues.

  • Administer the requirements for Teacher Professional Association (TPA) meetings

  • Provide administrative duties for Schools HR Advisory Service including, taking accurate minutes, processing invoices for the Schools HR Advisory team, drafting the Schools HR circular, maintenance of the team folders/files, template correspondence and support the team with diary management.
