Our client is currently recruiting for a Employer Engagement Officer to join a public sector organisation in East London.

The ideal candidate will have an Excellent understanding and knowledge of the Economic Development agenda, particularly in respect of employment & skills provision and apprenticeships.

The main responsibilities of this position are:

  • Reporting directly to the Work Employment & Apprenticeships Manager, the post holder will support the delivery of the Organisation strategic approach to apprenticeships and employer engagement, with a particular focus on securing benefits through S106 and Social Value.

  • The role will support development of relationships with the local business community, employers, developers, contractors and other stakeholders, and will be responsible for monitoring of Economic Development programmes and projects.

  • Will have responsibility for maintaining records of and monitoring financial contributions from S106 and social value.

  • Making recommendations to senior officers at key stages of project initiation and development
