A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Leasehold Housing Officer to join one of Adecco's most improved public sector clients in a temporary position for the next six months.

Our client is based in Bradford in West Yorkshire so a local candidate to this area is required as you will need to visit leaseholders, when necessary. This post is a full time role (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and our client is looking for somebody who can provide a high quality service to their Homeowners (Leaseholders and Shared Owners) and intermediate rent tenants, ensuring that they are managed in accordance with the terms of their lease or tenancy agreement, legislation, regulation and best practice.

They are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience of:

* Providing a customer focused service responding to leaseholder enquiries in accordance with the association's standards of service
* Dealing with enquiries relating to leasehold and shared ownership re-sales, re-mortgages and staircasing transactions
* Liaising with solicitors and mortgage companies and attending court as required.
* Responding to enquiries and processing applications for the Right to Buy and Right to Acquire liaising with solicitors and other relevant parties
* Undertaking formal and informal consultation including s20 consultation in accordance with the procedures and timescales laid down in the relevant legislation
* Encouraging leaseholders to get involved through formal and informal channels to influence the service and participate in decision making that relates to their home, neighbourhood and community
* Working with colleagues in other teams (Finance and Asset Management) in the annual review, calculation and reconciliation of service charges and ground rents and responding to all enquiries from homeowners relating to these.
* Completing tenancy audit visits to ensure legal occupancy, checking on property condition, that our client holds up to date data for their customers and to identify supports needs for these customers.

An awareness of legislation relating to home ownership/leasehold management and of current issues in public sector home ownership/leasehold management would be very well received by this client. Previous experience of carrying out a similar role with a public sector client would be useful, but not essential. Please note, you must have access to a vehicle to carry out this role.

Only applicants who feel they meet the above criteria and can start at short notice (1-2 weeks' notice, maximum) need apply.
