Legal secretary, preferably with conveyancing, required to provide support to a busy team in Cheltenham and to support and work closely with the Fee Earner. You should have fast, accurate typing, strong diary management skills and enjoy liaising with clients. The ability to handle a heavy typing content and manage a busy workload is essential. Working in the Conveyancing Department your tasks will include:



  • Typing long legal documents, correspondence and agreements

  • Diary management, organising travel and meetings

  • Liaising with clients and updating them regarding progress of their work

  • Completing SDLT returns, HMRC returns and local land searches

  • Handling telephone calls

  • Updating and maintaining client records on the internal systems

  • Providing general administrative support


Skills and experience required:



  • 1 years legal experience is essential

  • Previous conveyancing secretarial experience is desirable

  • You must have excellent written skills.

  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to take accurate telephone messages

  • Bright, Enthusiastic and ability to use own initiative

  • Hard working and able to work under pressure at times



Salary: £20,000-£24,000 depending on experience plus benefits- 23 days annual leave + 8 Bank holidays, progression and support with professional qualifications. Please note there is no on-site parking as the office is located in the heart of Cheltenham. Full time and Part time hours can be considered.
