My client is looking for a Legal Secretary who already has experience working in the legal sector; someone who is flexible as there is a requirement to support multiple teams; able to work well in a team environment; confident and comfortable dealing with varied tasks; able to assist with audio typing; dealing with inbound telephone calls and general secretarial duties.

Office Hours etc

Full time office based - Monday to Thursday 9.00 - 5.30 Friday 9.00 - 5.00pm.

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Christmas shutdown

Systems we presently use:

BigHand dictation software

Outlook emails and diary

Infotrack - online digital conveyancing

HM Land Registry online portal

Forum accounts system

Box - secure file sharing

PLC software

Companies House

Duties Include:

  • Deal with all inbound calls and take messages.

  • To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently, professionally and politely.

  • Assisting the fee earners with audio typing through BigHand to transcribe letters, emails, documents, invoices, time sheets.

  • Assisting with monthly billing.

  • Setting up new files.

  • Diary Management.

  • General office duties to include photocopying, scanning, faxing.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Strong IT skills.

  • Able to work independently and work well in a team environment.

  • Legal background knowledge.
