JOB TITLE: LIBRARY CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR


LOCATION: EALING


PAY RATE: £12.60 HOURLY RATE (PAYE)


HOURS: MONDAY- FRIDAY- 15 HOURS PER WEEK


DURATION: 3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)


START DATE: ASAP



You will be expected to travel to various library locations in the Ealing area. These may include Ealing central, Acton, Southall, Northolt, Greenford, Jubilee Gardens and Pitshanger. Please note that you MUST be able to travel to all of the above locations.



MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • To ensure that libraries are responsive to local community needs by providing friendly, helpful and comprehensive assistance to customers.

  • To maintain the library in a safe and attractive manner, to support the smooth running of services and accessibility by customers and staff.

  • To assist the wider library team in the day to day delivery of services, carrying out related support and administrative work and stock work.

  • To provide professional responses to routine customer enquiries face to face, over the telephone and in writing.



THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:



  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Experience of working with the public and providing customer service face to face and over the phone
