We are currently recruiting for Line Leaders for a large client who are looking to grow their Gourmet department in preparation to commence long term, high volume production.

We are looking for highly motivated, flexible individuals who can demonstrate leading a team through a period of significant onsite change.

Key Responsibilities:
* To lead and motivate Gourmet Operatives in order to ensure full engagement and high performance at all times
* Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are monitored, well communicated and achieved
* Conduct process checks throughout the shift
* Check and monitor and report issues
* Ensure that all employees on their line are working in accordance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations, escalating any outstanding non-conformance issues to management
* Ensure that all employees on their line are utilised effectively and work in accordance with company policy for the authorisation of breaks
* Encouraging and developing a team-work environment
* To have a detailed knowledge of the customer's product / packaging / pack specifications and to ensure quality conformance
* Conduct regular competency checks and performance reviews for all employees
* Manage the co-ordination of temporary labour
* Attend daily management meetings
* Minimising the wastage of product, packaging and consumables
* Effective leadership, training, development and communication
* Coaching, mentoring, compliance and training

* Team/Line Leader or Supervisor previous experience
* Proven machine operating experience typically gained within a manufacturing environment
* Understanding of the principles and tools of lean manufacture and ability to apply in live situations
* Ideally completed NVQ level 2 or above in a Manufacturing/food environment related subject/programme such as FME or Team Leader etc.

* Ability and knowledge of the people processes needed to build high performing teams
* Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data

* Able to demonstrate a high level of flexibility and willingness to adapt to change

The shifts will be on a rotating 4on/4off pattern on days 6am-6pm.
This is a permanent position starting on £8.97ph and will increase to £9.97ph after initial training.
