Litho No 2 Assistant


Salary - £22,500


Shift - 12.5-hour shifts - 3 days on 1 week off


East London


Experience required: 5+ years proven record of success in printing industry.



We are pleased to be recruiting for our well-established production manufacturing client in East London. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years proven record of success in the printing industry as a Litho No 2 Assistant, being able to Assist as a Number 2 on the 105 KBA Press.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Place paper and ink on press

  • Cleaning and Washing machine

  • Alerting managers to any possible defects noted during cleaning

  • Plating up machine

  • Working within Health and Safety guidelines

  • Order material in time to aid smooth running of department

  • Responsible for material to be delivered safe through the machine

  • Reduce waste material to a minimum

  • Reduce downtime to a minimum

  • Aid the No1 to maintain a smooth workflow within the department

  • Produce maintenance as and when required

  • Keep the workspace and machines clean and clear of clutter

  • Operate other machinery when needed

  • Improve/ identify efficiencies that can be made

  • Report and work closely with your line manager to adhere to the business requirements

  • Highly organized and proactive approach to work.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • Flexible approach to working hours.

  • A comprehensive understanding of litho printing

  • Excellent knowledge of printing materials

  • A positive approach.

  • Flexibility towards working hours and overtime
