This role is a 3 month temporary role, with the possibility of it being extended in line with the business needs.

The role will be home based for now, but will be back at the office in Basingstoke when we are permitted to do so.

It will be your responsibility to ensure that our export markets worldwide remain in stock by working with our freight forwarders, hauliers, warehouse, logistics and factory teams.

On a daily basis you will plan transport loads and ensures that all the required system processes and documents are completed so that the load arrives quickly at its destination

Being computer literate is a must in this role, using systems such as Microsoft Office, SAP and export software to complete the above tasks.

Duties Include:

Produce timely and accurate documentation to support all exports and ensure customs compliance

Maximise product availability in European markets through daily review and replenishment of the stock

Monitor stock levels across the European markets and drive action in the supply chain to ensure stock availability by working closely with the factory, logistics team members and local markets

Work with third party hauliers and warehouses to drive OTIF improvements

Have updated knowledge of customs requirements and lead activities to update business process in line with changes

Ensure that third party freight forwarders complete inbound custom requirements correctly

Report and follow up supply chain issues to understand route cause

Carry out ad-hoc export and import duties to support the wider business

Monthly and weekly reporting on customer OTIF failures

Submit monthly reports to HMRC as required for customs process

Control costs in the logistics supply chain by ensuring purchase orders are raised correctly and invoices match expected costs

Cross-training in other logistics roles to cover as required

Previous administration is a must, along with excellent planning skills and organisation skills. Proven attention to detail with working in a fast past environment would be ideal for this role. Working to tight deadlines is a big part of this role, therefore having strong communication skills is essential.
