Undertakes general storekeeping duties to include:

Loads and unloads goods as required from vehicles

Inspection of all deliveries, checking for quality and quantity and reporting any

shortages or damages to Customer Services.

Completion of appropriate paperwork

Deals with telephone enquiries

Maintains Stores filing systems

Liaises with Creditor Payments as required

Recording of Goods Received using Supplies computer systems

Undertakes put-away of goods within Stores as required

To participate in the stock replenishment systems within Stores, Wards and


Van driving duties subject to Driving Licence

Forklift truck driving duties subject to appropriate training

Transport goods to the appropriate department as necessary

Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of Stores

To undertake stock checking and recording information as required,

ensuring that the internal Laboratory Store maintains

appropriate stock levels.

Order goods utilising computer systems and ensuring accurate and

timely data capture.

Ensure appropriate printouts are produced to advise customers of

Requisitions placed in accordance with audit procedures.

To operate RESUS system to facilitate enquiries, input of data and

provision of information to customers, within agreed quality standards.

To undertake audit review of Laboratory Stores with Line Managers

against agreed timescales.
