Fantastic Opportunity for a Warehouse Manger to join a friendly motivated team just outside of Kendal working within the Food & Drink Industry.


The position is Monday to Friday 8.00am-5.00pm, with an hour for lunch, 40 hours per week


Salary: £25,000 per annum


Person:


� Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager


� Hands on experience with warehouse management software


� Leadership skills and ability to manage staff


� Strong decision making and problem-solving skills


� Excellent communication skills


Role Responsibilities:


� Responsible for the smooth running of the warehouse


� Planning daily outgoing delivery schedules to ensure trouble-free and timely transit to the customer


� Ensure delivery issues are resolved in a timely manner


� Responsibility for all commercial vehicles including all legal requirements and checks


� Stock checks


� Goods inwards, organising deliveries


� Responsible for all the health and safety requirements of the site


� Picking & loading orders on to our fleet of Trucks & Vans, checking van loads. Ensuring the items are correct to the picking lists.


� Fork lift operation


� Keeping the warehouse and yard tidy and well organised.


� Prioritising workload to maximise efficiency.


� Managing daily open or lock up procedures and site security


� Lead the warehouse and continually improve operations


� Co-ordinating training requirements


� Managing the team in the Warehouse including allocating workload and managing temporary staff and staffing requirements in peak times


� Working closely with the Sales team to ensure order/delivery standards are met
